Governor Pram to Brief PPSU Personnel on Handling JAKI Reports

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung or called Pram will hold a town hall next week for all PPSU personnel and staff members handling the JAKI complaint system. This follows recent discoveries of manipulated resident reports within the app.

We will terminate them on the spot

Pramono intends to warn all staff not to falsify their work, especially when responding to public complaints. He made it clear that the Jakarta administration has zero tolerance for such misconduct.

"I will warn anyone who attempts this again: there will be no second chances. We will terminate them on the spot," he stated at City Hall, Friday (4/10).

Council Stresses Use of JAKI Across All Levels of Government

He stated that the case of manipulated report follow-ups in Kalisari, East Jakarta, was not an isolated incident. According to him, this reflects a lack of supervision by the local administration.

"The Kalisari case was apparently not the first, and it involved the same individual. This indicates poor oversight, where the responsible Urban Village Head, as well as Government and Economy and Development Sections Heads, left everything entirely to the PPSU," he explained.

In response to the incident, the Jakarta administration has relieved the Kalisari Urban Village Head and relevant staff of their duties following an audit by the Inspectorate.

Pramono stressed that the mishandling of these reports stains Jakarta’s reputation and erodes the public's confidence in the government.

"The Inspectorate will issue penalties because this is Jakarta's image and the public's trust at stake. We are taking firm measures so that this will not be repeated," he explained.

However, he stated that the incident has not affected the volume of reports submitted via JAKI. He guaranteed that the Jakarta administration maintains daily oversight of the complaint service.

"Reports to JAKI have not decreased, as we track them every day," he concluded.
